Dermaplaning is a completely painless treatment where a gentle scraping motion is performed across the skin’s surface that removes the peach fuzz hair off your face and helps exfoliate the skin. If you do experience a small cut it would be very minor (similar to when you shave) and
heals within 24 – 48 hours.
Dermaplaning is very safe when performed by our aesthetic experts. There’s no more risk to your skin than when you shave your legs and there’s no down time associated with this procedure.
No. There are different types of hair that grow on the body; vellus hair and terminal hair. Vellus hair is found on most areas of the body except palms, soles, lips and genital areas, whereas terminal hairs are found on the scalp, underarms and pubic region. The soft and fine vellus hair
grows back at the same rate and texture.
This treatment can take anywhere between 30-45 minutes and can be performed every 3-4 weeks depending on your skin type. It removes approximately 21 days of dead skin so it’s important to let your skin rejuvenate between appointments.
